The Pilina Center for Wellbeing is a social enterprise uplifting collective and individual flourishing for all.
Mission
We collaborate to empower communities, organizations, and people to realize connection and ecological balance in a world rife with colonialist disconnection. Using tailored training, consulting, research, program development, resource provision, and advocacy, we support the ecology of wellbeing by integrating wisdom from Indigenous and contemplative practices with empirical science.
We pursue this mission by:
Focusing on people and groups whose power and privilege have been compromised by colonialism (Indigenous folx, women, LGBTQ+māhū, the Global Majority)
Dismantling hierarchical ontologies of racism, sexism, heteronormativity, ableism, & religious discrimination
Providing innovative, customized, and effective consulting, in partnership with organizations we serve
Conducting precision needs assessments and evaluations to improve wellbeing outcomes at multiple levels
Designing and implementing trauma-informed wellbeing programs that leverage protective factors to optimize outcomes in prevention and wellbeing
Offering tailored one-on-one consulting which acknowledges the ecologies of life domains, the intersection of identities, and the power of client values
Training the next generation of changemakers in wellbeing, with a focus on the underserved
Delivering public education to support collective clarity, facilitate equity, and inform enlightened policy
Providing resources to support healing, transformation, and wellbeing for all
Leading an interdisciplinary movement to radically evolve approaches to wellbeing that support collective liberation
